「世界名作劇場」シリーズで知られる日本アニメーションの40周年記念作品として製作された劇場版3部作の完結編。第1部「空とぶ姫と秘密の島」と第2部「魔法のランプと動く島」のダイジェスト映像に新作映像を加えて、1本の長編アニメーション映画として完成された。伝説の魔法族の姫サナと出会い、船乗りとなって魔法族の仲間を探す旅に出たシンドバッド。そんな彼らの前に、謎の敵ガリプ一味が立ちはだかる。やがてたどり着いた「真昼の夜」の中に浮かぶ「不思議の門」で、世界を変える恐るべき秘密が明らかになる。。A lawyer is left to care for a massacre survivor, who happens to be the son of his former client. His wife and daughter welcome the boy with open arms as part of the family. But as the kids get older, the daughter confesses her love for the boy. Soon, their complicated relationship ignites a revelation of secrets and harbored feelings, shaking the foundation of a family's love ...。
