The film tells the story of the Jews of Bardejov in Slovakia, who were almost completely wiped out during the Holocaust. Among them was Holocaust survivor Emil A. Fish, who was 9 years old when a Gestapo officer found him and his family hiding and sent them to a concentration camp to suffer the same fate as their many friends and relatives. Fish survived but to this day no Jews...。Jane makes a shocking discovery and looks to Rafael for answers| Rafael decides to put everything he and Jane have on hold| Petra is trying to secure a future with JR, but her past might jeopardize everything..。1948年，人民解放军进军辽南，国民党残匪炸毁孤鹰岭矿山大部分设备后，狼狈溃逃。当时，东北全境尚未解放，暗藏的土匪和特务不断制造各种事端，刚接手的矿区一片凄凉。指挥员焦昆（张文 饰）是矿工出身，他深知，要想恢复生产，就必须依靠广大群众，他发动护矿积极分子和出身贫苦的工人，抢修被敌人损坏的开矿设备，尽全力保障钢厂矿石供应。与此同时，阶级敌人也在加紧破坏活动，他们在矿工中制造谣言，盅惑不明真相的群众闹事，并在矿井下制造塌方事故，千方百计阻挠正常生产。矿长邵仁展（陆连明 饰）做事主观武断，听不得群众意见，他把所发生事故的责任全部推到焦昆身上......。
