楚天年幼时被父母抛弃，二十年后他成为了巨丰集团的掌门人，而此时父母带着领养的楚峰找上门来，他们一边嘲讽楚天，一边却要认回他，原来他们想割楚天的肾，给楚峰做换肾手术。得知父母真面目的楚天将计就计，然后见招拆招。。ABC在提交独占罚款下，宣布开发诗选剧《民权运动里的女子 Women of the Movement》，剧集由Marissa Jo Cerar负责执笔，Jay-Z﹑Will Smith及Aaron Kaplan的多家制片公司联合制作。 《民权运动里的女子》首季改编自Devery S. Anderson所写的《Emmett Till: The Murder That Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement》，讲述Mamie Till儿子Emmett Till在1955年时被杀后，她用了毕身精力为儿子寻求正义，并引爆了黑人民权运动。。
