影片讲述了即将成婚的新郎陆洋（姚锐饰）与新娘林子初（王楠饰）在婚礼准备中麻烦不断，几路势力暗中争抢结婚钻戒，陷入侠盗家族博弈的故事。影片围绕“钻戒”展开了侠盗之间的争斗，以喜剧的形式融入科技、间谍、动作等元素，为观众营造了一个现代江湖。最终男主陆洋是如何机智的破解僵局，巧妙化解误会与矛盾，使得婚礼顺利进行。。本片以上世纪六十年代的本地家庭为主轴，通过成员的际遇，带出早期的甘榜生活以及后来的组屋生活，剧情横跨数十年。 电影也将体现新加坡如何从一个以方言为主流语言的社会演变成华语到现今英语的过程，从中回顾流失的方言。它也会融入导演的许多亲身经历，并将安插多首怀旧歌曲。。At the time of the Polish social regime, a security officer is promoted to work at a prison yard.
