1979年初，我军对越南展开自卫反击战。农南虎（李世玺 饰）放弃上大学的机会，毅然奔赴前线，成为编号008坦克的驾驶员。南虎的女友田静（李岚 饰）刚从医学院毕业，也报名上了前线，并与南虎意外重逢。008坦克是装甲连的尖刀车，南虎不孚众望，勇往直前，在全车战友的配合下，他们抢占了敌必经之要冲——堪松隧道。越军察觉我意图后，用凶猛的炮火轰击我坦克阵地，008战车沉着应战，战斗中，车长和另外两名战友分别牺牲和负伤，车内只剩下南虎和田静。杀敌致果的南虎把田静推出车外，只身驾驶铁甲冲向敌坦克，壮烈殉国。田静强忍悲痛，与敌周旋至增援部队到达......。The story of the Korean War is told through powerful color imagery, dramatic musical score and sound-scape.
