大家乐，台湾最有名的六和彩之一，曾经风靡一时。故事以四个疯玩大家乐的人为主线，用极其幽默的方式来讽刺大家乐。车行老板因大家乐而沦为车行小工；家庭主妇因大家乐而欠下巨款，最终自杀；卖猪肉的沉迷于大家乐，害得儿子也染上了赌瘾……。电影《海的尽头是草原》根据历史上“三千孤儿入内蒙”的真实事件改编：上世纪五十年代末，新中国遭遇严重自然灾害，大批南方孤儿面临营养不足的危机。在这个关头，内蒙古自治区党委、政府主动向中央请缨，本着“接一个，活一个，壮一个”的原则，将近3000名孤儿接到了大草原上，交给淳朴善良的牧民们收养。在这里，远离家乡的孩子们将要学着融入新的环境和家庭，面对新的家人。而他们所有的不安与伤痛，都将被感天动地的人间大爱一一化解。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
